Lest we forget

Lest we forget

This term, for our last cycle of the year, we have chosen to learn about WW1 so we can find out more about how New Zealand community was different back then and how war affected New Zealand’s everyday life.

For our group topic we have chosen to learn about our family ancestors that fought in WW1. So we all decided that our social action that was based on our topic. All of this was to make a history picture book to commemorate the lives of our ancestors they fought in World War 1 at art class and to present it to our family members to honour the service and sacrifice that they made.

So the research we have collected so far is from their military person file like what occupation they had before they joined the war, what other relatives they had, what vessel they sailed on, and so on.

Hopefully this information we have collected will be of great use and that our family will be proud to acknowledge them as heroes.
